There might be something about growing up in a nation essentially founded on a prison labour colony that instills in a band a sense of tirelessness. Whether it's heritage, hope or insanity that fuels Bad Pony, they simply don't seem to stop.
Since releasing their debut EP 'Limbo' in 2015, the Sydney-based quintet has independently released four self-produced singles, all with national radio success. On the touring front, this premier indie outfit have clocked up thousands of kilometres with four national tours since 2016 and an appearance at world-renown Music Matters, Singapore 2016. The boys launched themselves into 2017 with a showcase at Canadian Music Week and a successful run of Sofar Sounds shows in the US and have just been announced as part of the Australian line-up at the world’s biggest music conference, SXSW 2018 in Austin, Texas.
Whilst even the most fanatical marathon runner would at least take a moment to stretch out their aching hamstrings, Bad Pony aren’t showing any signs of slowing down. The band will hit the road to round-off a huge 2017, which includes a performance at Australian Music Week on November 2nd. Starting in Sydney and moving along the East Coast, the band will include Hobart in the eight-date run and will wrap up at Summerfest in Taree on December 2.
After inking a publishing deal with Perfect Pitch Publishing as well as a booking deal with 123 Agency in 2016, the band have their sophomore EP, 'Deficiency' in the cooker and launched into this year with the release of their explosive single of the same title with a premiere on Rolling Stone Australia, airplay on Triple J and a successful national run of shows that saw them play to packed-out rooms across Australia.
Bad Pony are an explosive live power-force not to be missed!
